Who are we?

A.

The Christine B. Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that connects our cancer community with social and educational resources to aid in their fight against cancer. We unite passionate volunteers who comfort patients and their families during prevention, treatment and survivorship. We also invest in the education of students who are affected by cancer. CBF is a Maine based organization. EIN is 47-2350705.

What programs does CBF offer?

CBF focuses on providing sustainable means of social and educational support for the cancer community as well as building outreach programs in Maine and throughout New England. 

Eastern Trek for Cancer. Are you a young adult who is searching for adventure, a strong team, and a way to directly serve the cancer community? This relay run from Portland, ME to New York, NY will amaze you with all it has to offer. Learn more here

Scholarship Program. The infamous financial burden a cancer diagnosis leaves can be treacherous to patients and their families. If you have been affected by cancer and are a student, please apply for CBF's $2,000 scholarship. Learn more here

Comfort Bag. CBF Comfort Bags allow us to help hundreds of patients, in Maine and surrounding states, with the side effects treatment leaves behind. How do I apply to run with Eastern Trek for Cancer?

A.

We suggest you learn more here before applying for this adventure. Once you apply, your application will be reviewed and if selected a call will be scheduled with an ETC representative. Calls will last up to 30 minutes.

I am a parent of an ETC runner and have questions. Who do I contact?

It is very important to CBF staff that everyone involved with our Eastern Trek for Cancer program feels comfortable, including family and friends. If you have any questions regarding logistics, please e-mail, Matt Dexter, directly at matt@chrisbfund.org

How do I apply for CBF’s scholarship?

A.

Application for CBF scholarship starts January 1st. We offer $2,000, to a student who has been affected by cancer. Please learn more about our requirements and application process here.
