Who We Are
Christine B. Dexter was a mother, wife, friend, and a driven volunteer, who lost her battle with stomach cancer in 2008. Christine B. Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that was founded by Matt Dexter, son of Christine. The organization began as Eastern Trek for Cancer, Inc. in 2014 and not long after inception was renamed to Christine B. Foundation, Inc.
We strive to honor Christine’s life by giving back only the most effective social and educational support to the cancer community. Our programs not only support cancer patients, but also connect with their families, friends, and other caregivers.
Our board consists of Christine’s daughter, secretary Danielle Dexter, and Christine’s spouse, treasurer Jim Dexter. Sarah DeGeorge is CBF’s Public Relations Coordinator and Marie Miller is CBF’s Scholarship Coordinator.
to connect our cancer community with social and educational support.
a world where everyone affected by cancer has the resources for a healthy recovery.
Teamwork. With the efforts of your entire community, no one will feel alone during their battle of cancer. CBF’s program, Eastern Trek for Cancer, succeeds in raising funds and awareness for CBF due to this vary value of teamwork.
Education. Utilizing your inner potential to its fullest is our greatest goal. CBF’s programs and staff not only strive to teach but also learn from volunteers and patients they encounter. CBF’s scholarship program hopes to relive a potion of the financial burden students affected by cancer endure.
Community Service. Christine was a large part of her community. She valued a safe and healthy environment for her family and the community at large. CBF’s mission is directed at the cancer community and we excel in making members of this community comfortable and healthy through their battle.
